We offer general training in pyroprocessing and grinding, as well as courses that cover the operation, inspection and maintenance of all KHD equipment and automation systems
Looking for something more targeted? We can design training packages to meet specific requests, e.g., for start-up/commissioning of new equipment. We can also conduct a detailed plant inspection to identify potential areas for training. This could include help to achieve performance targets or to solve process challenges, such as reducing emissions, build-ups or energy consumption.
Before any training is organized, we work closely with you to understand your specific training needs and expectations. We then develop an individualized training concept and methodology to ensure the training is best able to meet those requirements, regardless of any local restrictions, e.g., on travel.
If requested, we can also evaluate the impact of any training via before and after testing of participants.
Our simulator-aided training modules enable attendees to become familiar with all process steps – without risking disruption to real-world plant operations.
Our general introductions to pyroprocessing or grinding include an overview of the complete cement production process and are ideal for new members of staff.
For more experienced personnel, we can dive deeper into either pyroprocessing or grinding with our operator training courses. Trainees will improve their performance by gaining greater understanding of the preheater, calciner, kiln, burner and cooler (for pyroprocessing) or ball mills, roller presses and separators (for grinding) and any respective automation components.
We also offer training to improve inspection and maintenance of both pyroprocessing and grinding equipment
Our Simulex® training courses cover the complete cement manufacturing process from an introduction to the plant and its main features, to the various grinding equipment (raw meal, cement and slag) and kiln operations. We also cover a range of conditions, including start-up, production and optimization, as well as how to handle disturbances.
Available on-demand via a computer or mobile device, our eLearning courses cover a range of topics, including general overviews of cement production processes, health and safety, and specific burner-related topics.
